ICSA Labs today announced the formation of the Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) Product Developers (NIPD) consortium. The NIPD consortium was created to develop a standard set of functional and assurance criteria for certifying network intrusion prevention technology, and to provide a third-party information source to help the IPS user community select and effectively implement IPS products.
